WHAT IS A BOUNTY? A bounty is a government-issued reward placed on an individual and awarded to whoever can capture or kill that person. Normally, a bounty is issued by a government official or by the police, though this isn't always the case. The idea is to tempt others to aid with the capture of the criminal so they can be brought to justice quickly. Bounty hunters make careers trying to find and capture these wanted people. Bounties are issued with a "Dead or Alive" disclaimer, meaning the reward will be paid so long as the threat gets eliminated. The amount of a bounty is determined in response to the perceived threat level of the criminal in question; the greater the threat to the world, the greater the bounty.
HOW TO GAIN BOUNTY? Gaining a bounty is no real hard task. Simply being born from the wrong parents can earn you a bounty. It's a matter of keeping that bounty up, if you actually want one that is. There are many ways to gain more and more bounty, which in turns gets you more and more attention, not only from the marines but pirates and bounty hunters alike. Bounties aren't limited to just pirates and can even be placed on other marines by outside sources. Capturing of people with black market bounties will reward them with 25% of the target's bounty added to their bounty, in addition to the normal reward listed below.
WHAT DO BOUNTIES DO? Aside from putting a target on your back bounties can be interpreted in many different ways. Some people rank how powerful someone is solely off how high or low their bounty is. Bounties are also used to average the dangers of many things ranging from crews to the very blues themselves. Bounties are also sometimes used as a tactic by the marines to target those they consider dangerous without risking their own soldiers.
CAN STAFF MOD FOR ME, SO I CAN GAIN BOUNTY? Okay, this was a serious question a lot of people asked before and we have decided to allow such. A staff member can mod an NPC for you, allowing you to gain bounty that way. But the issue with this is, the fact of the person have to at least be patient with the staff member, due to staffing being a difficult task at times. To request for a staff member to mod the thread for you for what you need, please post here. The only thing that cannot be NPCed for you is looting.

BOUNTY TEMPLATEBelow is the template used to represent bounties, like our own version of wanted posters. This will be the template used in the CURRENT BOUNTIES thread and will also be the first post in your own bounty threads. Replace the three icons at the top with three icons of your own character. Everyone with a bounty is required to make a thread and put this template in their first post. Whenever you complete a thread and feel like something in there is worth a bounty or is listed above simply reply in your thread with a link to the thread and the estimated bounty gained.
