Though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For I am the dark that shadows man and his wicked desire. Forever taking those within me that desire death and it's caress. I am the assassin, the bounty hunter, I am death.
Out in the shadows of thriller bark, a greyish black cloaked figure roamed through thriller bark hunting, seeking, desiring thrill. Many blood stains old dry and faded lay decorating over sinful cloth draped over mans broad toned shoulders.
Only a faint goatee could be seen from under the hood, for one look into this mans face would cause one to live horrors they could hardly fathom. What this man has seen, has done, has heard, would literally freeze a person in their own flesh and blood. This man known as Nethaniel, a bounty hunter, forsaken himself, hunting others like him. It was a detestable occupation, but someone had to do it.
Tonight was truly no exception. He was on the hunt once again, not for money, not for fame or fortune, this time for flesh. He desired the company of oh so lovely ladies, a high he always coveted. The only high to beat such a feeling was the sickening sweet feeling of someone going limp within his arms, their throat cut, a look of sheer terror on their face. Nothing about this man was truly right, other than he always got the job done.
Tonight, the shadows would place Nethaniel out in the open streets. Keeping only to the darkest places, back alley ways, and questionable buildings. Truly, all one would find here was trouble, but that was what he was after.

Night time again. It meant that it was time to work for the red haired woman with twin tails. To most her job would be considered low class and if she'd ever openly admitted it to anyone who wasn't a client they might distance herself. It was all rather misguided. She wasn't any less of a person just because she slept with a bunch of men for money. Hell, doing it for money was far more respectable than just doing it to do it. At least that's how Jacklyn thought of it.
The woman liked her job. She could have a little fun without any strings attached and she could get money for it. Some of her clients could be... odd, but it was the price she had to pay. Especially with some of the people that lived on Thriller Bark. It was the price she had to pay, and she'd pay it gladly.
The corner she stood on was far from her home and she had to walk quite a ways to get there, but by now she was used to it. It was a necessity to have it far away, because it was important to separate this sort of work from home. As she walked, she turned to take a detour down an alley and all was well until she came to a cross section of alleys and walked straight into someone. "Oof." she'd say. Luckily, the impact wouldn't be too hard and she'd probably still be pressed against the person if they didn't move away. "My bad." she'd say in a casual tone, though inside she was tensed up. Nothing good could come from a person, a man as she soon found, walking down a dark alley at night.

The man did indeed stand there. His piercing eyes fixed on the top of her head like they were trying to drill deep into her brain. The tension thick in the air with this man. His trained eyes could see her pretty well in the dark, but if she looked up, she would mainly see shadow over his face. All that unhidden was his mouth and chin, covered in a goatee, his lips etched almost with a half smirk half smile, almost chill inspiring.
Nethaniel could tell the person that bumped into him was a female, and a well endowed one at that, without having to hear the voice. This was just the trouble he was honestly looking for, who knew one would walk right into him. Actually, he did. He knew walking the back streets would land him something interesting. So far, his instincts were right. He learned to trust them long ago, they saved his life many times in the past.
If the woman took in what other detail could be picked out, she would note the grey and white cloak that cover the majority of his body. He wore close fitting but loose black pants and thick leather boots. The man definitely looked shady, like an assassin or some wanted pirate trying to hide. It would take the man what seemed like many moments to finally respond, yet he still did not move.
"You should be more careful there missy. Only those of questionable nature travel these paths at night..."
By his voice, the girl in front of him could tell the man was slightly older. In his 30's actually. He had a deep yet soothing voice that did not fit the air he gave off.
"Speaking of which..."
The man trailed off, about to inquire about the reason she had actually been traveling this late at night down such a shady back alley.

In all honesty, she was trying everything to not look at the man she bumped into. Just thinking of what sort of psychopath she ran into sent chills down her back. Still, curiosity got the best of her and she looked up to see nothing more than the mans mouth and chin, the rest being shaded by the hooded robe he wore. In a romance novel this might be the point where the author would go in depth about the softness of his lips or some sort of bull shit like that, but all the woman could focus on was the smirk that graced his lips. She worried profusely about what might happen to her.
Despite her worries, Jacklyn remained strong. This wasn't her first rodeo, she knew better than to show fear. Sometime fear was what these sick bastards wanted and she certainly wouldn't want to give him what he wanted if he was a sick bastard. As her eyes wandered to examine him more closely she took in what she could of his outfit in the dark. The way he was dressed only made her worry more. She remained in place, frozen with indecision.
After what seemed like an eternity, the man spoke and it caused her eyes to snap back up to focus on his face. His voice, was nice. It was the sort of voice that would probably calm her in any other situation, but it only made Jacklyn even more worried. Behind such a soothing voice that contrasted with his looks... It could be like a venus fly trap inviting a fly to rest, only to snap shut on it. He spoke of being careful and all that, trailing off at the end. It might have been to get her to say why she was walking around, but instead she turned it on him. "Oh?" she'd say, her tone was slightly seductive and confident. "Does that mean you're of a questionable nature?"

The woman before him would find that turning his words against the man yielded a brief chuckle from his lips for she was right, and he knew it. The air around him lightened up, if even just a little. The man would reach up from behind the girl if she were still close, to grab his hood to pull it back only enough to reveal his facial features to that female only. He wasn't ugly by far, but a few scars had riddled his cheeks and forehead from previous encounters. His eyes were piercing emerald, and they looked down into hers almost intrigued like. The next few words that slipped out of his mouth might determine what went down.
"If" the price is right."
The way she asked that question, made him confident that she was likely one that normally patrolled the streets around this area frequently. To him, it was just a job, he did not detest her for it. Alas, his job was far more sickening and despised, more so to the point he could not judge this girl in front of him. All he knew is she looked very pretty, and he liked the feel of when she bumped into him.
However, the assassin wasn't willing to go beyond this point just yet. He had already shown his face. That was against his code, but he need not worry else she instilled his wrath. The man would finally step back but only a couple steps before lowering his hood to hide his face once more.
"What's your name?"

No, Jacklyn hadn't moved away yet. She couldn't bring herself to even though she probably should. When she felt his arm move, he would most likely notice the woman flinch. She wouldn't flee or move, but her body would quickly tense and then relax when she saw that he was only readjusting his hood. The pigtailed woman would stare up into his eyes. Someone once said that the eyes were the window to the soul. So, she looked up into his and searched for a hint of whether or not things would turn sour. She found no trace of the dead look a madman often had in their eye. The lack of any sort of soul. Instead, she saw curiosity. While this really wasn't anything to base anything off of, it reassured her.
"Then I guess that gives us something in common." she'd reply, her tone the same as the last time she spoke. The fact that he was a man for hire was reassuring. Unlike those who killed or fought for sport he was doing it because of money. Even if he liked to kill, he knew that there was money to be made in his 'fun'. If that was indeed how this man viewed his job then that meant they had quite a lot in common, occupationally.
The man would pull away and step back, further reassuring the woman to the point where she was nearly completely relaxed. The fact that he was moving away meant that he wasn't going to strike. At least not right away, or at all since he was giving her more space to flee. Jacklyn refused to think about the fact that that might be the way he got off. The man asked her name and she obliged to give it to him. "Lynn, Yours?" She didn't give her real name, and instead a nickname. It was common practice to further differentiate work from home. Casually, she'd place her arms beneath her breasts to push them up slightly and show them off a bit more. Whether this was subconscious or not wasn't exactly clear.

The mood had lightened for the better it seemed. Normally, when someone ran into him like this, they ended up being beri in his pocket. This time however, this girl was lucky that he was intrigued by her. Nethaniel smiled just a little, in a somewhat creepy way, wondering just what would come of the night. Despite being so rough, when it came to pretty ladies, he had a light soft spot. However that did not stop him from doing his job.
Like the woman thought, it was money, nothing more, nothing less. However he did mix work with pleasure on some occasions. It depended solely on the mood he was in when he was on the hunt. The man before her could be rather sadistic if he wanted to be. He wondered if she was into that. However, he did not voice his thoughts, at least as of yet. He did however speak.
"Indeed, it does. Especially for tonight"
Waiting for her name, the man stood there patiently. HE was finally told her name was "Lynn". He knew this likely wasn't her real name, possibly a nick name or street name. But that was more than enough to satisfy him. Nethaniel would contemplate what to tell her his own name was. These thoughts gave way to a shrug, he had nothing to fear.
"My name is Nethaniel. It's a... pleasure to meet you, Lynn."
Neths eyes caught glimpse of the way she you could say, presented herself to him. She definitely was well endowed, and it made him even more thirsty for the night. So much soft flesh. He almost couldn't believe he might be able to enjoy it. Part of his sadistic side edged forward, trying to make it's presence known. However, the man sharply fought it back for now, less there be cuts on lovely flesh, and cries filling the air.
"I take it you were headed somewhere?"

When he said especially for tonight, the woman wondered if she was interrupting something. Jacklyn hoped that she wasn't being too much of a bother by running into him. Though, she didn't worry much about it because he didn't seem to be in too much of a rush since he wasn't being pushy or rude or generally like someone who had somewhere to be acted.
When he shared his name she was slightly impressed by it, though it wasn't an entirely rare name. It seemed ever so slightly too plain for the man. He seemed interesting and mysterious while the name sounded young and sort of plain. It wasn't really important though. It was highly doubtful that the two would ever see each other again.
"I was heading to my corner." the girl said bluntly, while partially maintaining her normal tone. A soft smile graced her lips. So far she'd been sugar coating her words with a seductive tone, so she decided to mix it up a bit and see how he might react to her speaking that way.

"Shall I accompany you to your corner then? It's always nice to have someone watching your "back" in the streets eh?"
Neth simple stared with a slight smile, wondering how she would take his offer. He liked the way she was blunt, it intrigued him even more. This girl was not ashamed of what she did, and that gained a bit of respect with him. However, respect was the least of what was on his mind. Tonight would be a fun night for him all around, even if he didn't have money to hunt.
The only down side to this whole business, was the fact he spent the last of his coin not long ago. He would have to employ the tactic well known to him as get in, get out, and disappear before she can catch him. This thought almost brought a slight chuckle to his lips. Another idea would form in his head as well though, one that might see fit to come fourth later in the night if fate would have it.
"I wouldn't want a stray dog biting my new friend I don't think... not until I've had my fill."
The thought sent a wave of electricity through his stomach. Neth was far from a soulless, blackhearted man. He had feelings, emotions, desires. Sometimes anyway... Whatever the case, here and now, his eyes were on a rather nice prize he did not wish to lose until he had admired it satisfactorily.

When he offered to accompany her, her soft smile grew by a small amount. Wasn't he just the charmer? That thought nearly made her chuckle, but she held it back. "Oh yes, It's always nice, but who's to say that you aren't the sort to take advantage of me once my back is facing you?" she'd question, moving her right arm to rest her elbow in her left hand, the arm remaining beneath her breasts, and using her right hand to partially cup around her chin.
Jacklyn certainly wouldn't appreciate it if he slipped out without paying. Though, it certainly wouldn't be the first time, and her anger might be subdued if he made it particularly interesting; the chances of the second option being slim. Still, there was always a chance. He might also try arguing that she wasn't exactly 'advertising' herself and just assumed she was joking.
Once he spoke of her as a 'new friend' her small smile widened a bit more. "Oh~?" she'd simply say, her right am falling to go back in it's original space below her breasts. "Do I sense that it's not my corner that you want to escort me to, but instead a soft bed in a nearby hotel..." Jacklyn would trail off and pause for a moment before continuing. "Or maybe you don't want to accompany me anywhere and would prefer to see what sort of skills I've gained through my work, right here and now~" She made the last few words move into a more blatantly seductive tone. It was all to test the waters and further understand what kind of person he was.

As the woman known as Lynn responded to Neths first little poke at fun, the man smirked a bit then chuckled under his breath. He moved forward only a bit to look behind her at her backside, before nodding in agreement with himself.
"I can't lie, I would gladly take advantage of you when you were turned away from me."
His own tone was a bit more playful. Uncharacteristic of who he was and what he did. His over shadowed eyes took in her complete form once again, imagining just what he might see. That was until she decided to tease him once again.
The man thought a moment on his answer. There would have been nothing stopping him from taking her up on her offer, but he had an idea of his own before that would go down. He looked to her, turned his head to her ear so hot breath could be felt, then whispered.
"How about you lead me to a nice secluded place where we can conduct business. It doesn't have to be a hotel room, but it doesn't need to be right here. You never know who might pop up on us"

Jacklyn slightly raised her eyebrow when Nethanial approached her, but she didn't think much more of it when she followed his gaze with her eyes. Of course, men were men no matter what walk of life they came from. Unless that walk of life involved solely loving men. At least he was honest, his tone was playful, but no doubt he meant every word of gladly taking advantage of her.A soft giggle would escape her lips. "At least you're honest." she'd say.
There was a slight silence after she teased him. When he moved to whisper in her ear she was slightly surprised. She'd been expecting some sort of tease in response, but she wasn't exactly expecting a whisper in her ear. The feeling of his breath against her neck tickled slightly and was an appealing feeling. She found her hands lightly pressing against his solidly built stomach and listening to his words.
It was all work. She'd been lucky enough to run into a client before getting to her corner. It was also nice because he seemed to be an alright guy. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was the fact that he didn't ask for a hotel room. There was a degree of refinement in going to a hotel. It wasn't so dirty as a quick encounter in an alley, a short transaction and a parting. Still, it was their money, their wishes.
Jacklyn would lightly bite her lip before pressing close, letting her hands slide around his sides to embrace his waist. "Mm~ I thought you were more exiting than that." she'd say looking up at him seductively. "You don't think that the chance of having someone come across us is exciting?" She'd pause momentarily and then give him a playfully sly look. "Or maybe you're the kind of person who's easily embarrassed~"

Neth stood there, about ready to throw her to the pavement and give her road rash for a solid hour, but he had more self control that that, and wouldn't fall to such a basic instinct this easily. No, instead, he moved, walked around after the girl teased him, then smacked her on the butt before smirking a bit.
"Or maybe I have a proposition for you that I won't want over heard. Something that would profit both of us. You're a very beautiful woman, that's hard to deny. Your talents could take you so much farther."
Neth knew she would inquire as to what he was talking about. He simply assured her in a teasing tone it would be to her liking, much like the rest of him was. That she should find them a private spot to talk and take care of any business that might be left afterward, if there was any.
"Unless that is, you don't want to broaden your horizons and wish to lose out on something lucrative."

When he moved away she was slightly dissapointed. At first, Jacklyn thought that she hadn't impressed him, that she'd over stepped a foundry. It wouldn't be too farfetched. Some men didn't like their manliness questioned, even if it was simply an attempt to turn them on without anyone near by. She didn't have to worry too long. She jumped slightly and gasped when his hand made contact with her butt.
The next thing he said was intriguing. A proposition? Was he planning on making her his mistress or something like that? She'd never thought of such a career path and wasn't really interested, but then she thought about the fact that he was a mercenary. Certainly, a male target distracted by a lovely lady could open up a large amount of openings for murder. He managed to grab her attention.
"Mm~ I see" she'd say, her curiosity evident in her tone. "Well then~ I know just the place." Once that was said she'd attempt to grab his hand and interlock their fingers. Regardless of whether or not she succeeded she'd lead him out of the allies and towards a nearby motel. The only difference would be that she'd lean against him if she managed to catch hold of his hand.
Jacklyn memorized all of the nearby inns in case of things just like this. The place they were headed to was rundown and dirty, but it would suit their purposes well. The beds were nice and the rooms were private. That's all that mattered.

"Good, I'm glad you see things my way. You're a smart woman for sure. You might be good to me yet."
Neth smirked under his hood. Everything was going well, there was no need for him to end her life. He was pleased with this, even to the point her let her intertwine their fingers, and to allow her to lean up against him. The two almost looked like a couple, if it weren't for the fact that the clothes they were wearing would probably give them away.
Neth would then be so bold, since she pretty much invited him to, to wrap an arm around her hips, squeezing at them tightly, his finger tips resting almost on her inner thighs.
"You sure know how to treat your customers don't you? I was right in picking you I think... Lead the way, Lynn."
Any place would do, as long as it wasn't over run with rats, and by rats, he meant those he hunted. He wanted nothing more than to talk to this girl at this point and time. Bloodying his hands would only serve to ruin the mood, at least for now, that is.
