Humming lightly to herself, the young girl seemed to dance her way through the streets with a smile strewn across her face. Her footsteps were light, almost soundless as she moved between the different people wandering the streets. Garbed in a blue and white uniform with a cap resting haphazardly on her head, it was clear to anyone that this young girl was a Marine. Some might look at her strangely, due to her rather odd nature for a Marine. People generally had an image in their heads of Marines being fairly uptight and fussy over rules and orders, acting like brain-dead soldiers merely carrying out orders and arresting people who broke the law. While this was true for some, Hilda preferred the old-fashioned approach of offering a smile and a wave to those who passed her, whilst making sure that anyone who dared to break the law in her presence had their arms broken next.
It was clear, of course, that with the pair of Hook swords at her hips it was an unwise move to pick a fight with her. Valkyn Arena was like that - a place of fighting and violence. Of strength and power. When you grew up here all your life, as the young lady did, you learned how to fight back and make sure no one dared to pick a fight with you. It was survival of the fittest, after all - show weakness in Valkyn Arena and you'd regret it. Of course, that didn't mean the inhabitants particularly liked this way of life - waking up each morning with a slap across the face, feeling like crap, wasn't a nice way to live. But it was a way to live, and it was the way to live in Valkyn Arena. At the very least, there was always that nice feeling you got when you busted someone's head in.
The young lady frowned at that thought, briefly pausing in her step before shaking her head and skipping back down the street. She could see it just ahead - towering over most of the city on this island was a large coliseum, THE coliseum. The place where strong people went to fight. Whether they were Marines, Bounty Hunters of even Pirates, anyone and everyone came here to pick fights. Wandering up a flight of steps to the higher plateau, the young lady now stood before the large coliseum. It was the biggest tourist attraction this place had, because in the end, when you came to Valkyn Arena of your own free will, it was either to fight or to watch a fight. But it was good for business, all the tourism. That much she was aware. Or at least, she'd been told. Sitting herself down on one of the benches in the main square beside the coliseum, the young lady sighed and turned her head upwards.
A blue sky, but dark clouds coming from the west. Rain? Maybe soon. Maybe later. She wasn't sure. But she didn't like the rain. She didn't want it to rain. Much like she didn't want Valkyn Arena to always be a place of violence. Why couldn't things always be more orderly and peaceful and nice? The Marines worked hard, but it seemed like there were always places like these slipping through the cracks. But then, she supposed, that was why she became a Marine. Cracking a small smile, she looked downwards as her fingers wrapped around a small, golden locket around her neck. The edges of her lips curled a little before she decided to let go of the locket, standing herself up upon the bench and overlooking everyone else in the square as she bore a confident smirk.
"Alright, alright! Time to go on patrol!" she declared with a smile, hopping down from the bench immediately after. Well, she was a kid after all.

Haruki looked around from behind his sunglasses. The Sunglasses he always used because he wanted to hide his red eyes. The view from the coliseum was indeed good. Inside there were so many fights. Mostly powerful pirates and such. But he could not take them on. He was not strong enough for that. Therefore he was now looking for low bounty pirates. But, he had no idea wether his current bounty list was updated or not. So that could prove to be bad. What if he went after a pirate that no longer had a bounty? That would mean he had used all that time for nothing. So this could only mean one thing. He had to ask a Marine about it. Typical. He did not really get along with marines that much. But he had to ask some.
That was when he heard someone talk about patrol behind him. He turned his head and saw a girl in a marine uniform. Now, that was not something he expected. But that also meant that she had managed to get into the marines. Which meant she was either strong, fast, good at tactics or just had really good connections. Well, she could still help him. He walked towards her, a little worried. Hoping that it would not end like the last time he talked to a girl. God that was hellish.
He coughed before he spoke. ”Excuse me miss, are you in the Marine? If so, may I ask you a question?” He asked, extremely nervous. Last time he talked to a girl, it ended with a kick in the balls and a pineapple in his face. It was bad.

Almost immediately after she'd begun to walk into the square, a voice began to call out to her. The red-haired girl turned, pivoting in place and staring back towards a young man, perhaps not too much older than herself with dark hair. He wore a pair of shades that obscured his eyes, which was kind of a shame. The young girl liked seeing people's eyes. Windows to the soul and all that. But he was asking her for help now. As a Marine, it was only right she did the best she could to help him. Fixing herself up and standing upright with proper stature, she gave him a quick salute and a smile. It almost appeared cheesy. At the very least, she seemed almost excited to help him.
"Ensign Hilda Willenstark, ready to assist you in any way, sir! What's the problem? Is there a fight breaking out somewhere? Is it pirates?!" now the young girl, named Hilda, was getting a bit too excited. Sometimes her mind wandered a bit elsewhere. It was only to be expected - she may have been 18, but she still acted like she was only 8 sometimes. It was a bit childish of her really, but then, that was kind of how Hilda was. Most of the time. Staring up at the taller man, she seemed ready to leap from her spot, her entire body energized. Well, she was a Marine after all. She had to do her best! If she could help out the common man in a small way, she'd do it with all her might!
A shame she didn't realize his question was a little more mundane than fighting Pirates. She still needed to improve in that regard.

Haruki blinked as the marine responded. To be fair, he had not expected her to react like that. And, she seemed to want to crush some heads. He chuckled at this while waving a dismissing hand at her suggestions. But since she introduced herself, it would be rude to not do so himself. ”No fights. My name is Haruki Mithril, Bounty Hunter. I came to you to ask about the bounty notices I have. I have no idea how old they are. So I am wondering where I can check for updated info.” Haruki said, pulling off his sunglasses as he introduced himself. When he mentioned bounty notices, he pulled those he had out from a pocket inside his jacket, using the sunglasses to tap them a little as he spoke. And so far, nothing had gone wrong. Most likely because he found her funny, and therefore instead of being nervous he felt relieved. He hoped the rest of the encounter with this marine girl could go that way.

A Bounty Hunter? How curious. Hilda paused, folding her arms in front of herself as she shifted her weight onto one leg, looking up at him curiously. She hadn't met many Bounty Hunters in her life, and this man was the first Bounty Hunter she'd met since she became a Marine. Of course, obviously she knew that as a Marine she would have to deal with Bounty Hunters at some point. It was kind of their occupation to take in Bounty Heads and hand them in to the Marines, after all. Eventually, some Bounty Hunter would have to approach her for some sort of reason, she figured. Even she could figure out at least that much, in spite of her lack of experience. Listening closely to his request, she paused for a moment to think about it.
"No problem! As a Marine, it is my duty to help out in whatever way I can!" she declared proudly, smiling to herself as she directed a thumb to her chest in a sort of declaration. Well, it couldn't be said she wasn't eager or excited to do her job.It was a good trait to have in someone, at any rate. She watched him take off his sunglasses and blinked in slight surprise as she saw his eyes - a red colour she'd never seen in eyes before. Were anyone's eyes naturally red? She wasn't too sure. It looked odd. Didn't people say red eyes were like demon eyes? But it couldn't be - This guy was a Bounty Hunter! That meant he went after bad people. There was no way he could be a demon, then!
"As it so happens, I've been keeping myself updated on the latest bounties! Feel free to show me all of your wanted posters and I can tell you all about them and whether they're up to date!" she boasted, smiling. Well, she was up to date on recent bounties, anyway. She could lend him a helping hand.

Haruki nodded slightly as the marine girl spoke. That was actually quite good for him. That way he did not have to go searching for newer bounty posters. He had picked up the bounty posters randomly as he found them, and could therefore not know how new they were. There were 17 total, and all was actually pretty recent. Haruki did of course not know that, so he held up the bounty posters for her to take a look at, while at the same time he put the sunglasses back on. Why had he taken them off anyway? He did not really like it when people saw his eyes. They were a part of his past, and his past was for him to know and for others to wonder. He waited for her to check the bounty posters.
OOC: sorreh, but i can simply not make long good posts. so you have to deal with smaller good posts.

"Alright, just give me a moment!" she chimed happily as he handed her the bounty posters. Taking them, she began to shuffle through them one by one, inspecting them closely. She recognized the bounty posters well enough. She'd seen more than a few Pirate faces in her time on Valkyn Arena. The island was fairly well known for that sort of thing, after all. It didn't take too long for her to go through all 17 of the Bounty Posters however - after merely a minute or two she was done and she handed the posters back to the Bounty Hunter, smiling widely.
"Alrighty! 17 out of 17! You don't need to worry - all of these bounty posters are up to date!" she told him, smiling wide from ear to ear. "Soooooo! What brings you here? Is there someone you're after?" she asked, raising a brow in interest.

Haruki smiled and stuffed the Bounty posters back into his jacket, spacing out a little. Then, she asked him if there was any specific reason he was there. Any one special he was looking for. Well, he did not really hunt for someone special…other than them. But that was so long ago that he was unable to remember them. ”Heh, no, not really. I hunt them for money. I am a bit greedy when it comes to Beri. Oh, while I got you here, can you tell me if there is any crews in this Blue? Haruki said, hesitating to move because he did not want it to look like he was leaving. Or, he was leaving after he got this information, but still, it could lead to disaster. He had no idea how to act around girls, specially not when they started sending out these so called signals. People had messed with him before, giving him false impressions based on so called signals he had gotten from girls. And since then it had gone down. He had not been with a girl without messing up before this day. But hey, he still had some time to make her want to kick him in the nuts. Not that he wanted that. But that it could happen was clear. And he did not like that.
OOC: wall-o-text A advice for your post; the Black Rose Pirates is in the north blue.

"Crews in North Blue? Uh... Hm..." Hilda paused for a moment to think, bringing her hand to her chin as she shifted her weight onto one foot. Were there any notable Pirate crews currently operating in North Blue? She pondered this for a short while, but then a thought came to her head. There was one crew she'd heard about operating recently in North Blue. Perhaps he'd be interested in knowing about them! Smiling, she snapped her fingers before looking back to the Bounty Hunter with a wide smile.
"There's a Pirate Crew known as the Black Rose Pirates! I don't know a lot about them yet, but they've been operating recently in North Blue. Maybe you're interested in them?" she raised a brow, looking to see if he was interested. Although, his earlier comment about being greedy for Beri made her wonder just what his motivations for Bounty Hunting were. But if it cut down crime, wasn't that a good thing?

Haruki nodded slightly as she mentioned the Black Rose Pirates. He had heard of them. Slightly. But that they were in the north blue was news to him. There were a lot of them. But from what he had heard, they were also mostly female….That could be a serious problem. But as long as he stayed at a distance he would probably be able to check them out. But capturing them would be another problem.
”Might be a little Problematic, but not impossible….Oh, thank you for all your help Ensign. I don’t really care much for marines in general, but as a person I hope I will meet you again sometime.” He said, smiling. He then turned around, and walked into the crowd of random people around them. And from there….well, he vanished fast.

"Hm? Oh, well, I hope to see you too some day! Who knows? Maybe we'll be after the same Pirate!" she joked, giggling as she waved back to him. Having said their goodbyes, the Bounty Hunter parted ways and wandered back through the crowds of people passing through the square. Hilda kept waving, until a small voice in the back of her head told her that Marines weren't supposed to wave to people. Restraining herself, she continued to stand there and simply watched the direction in which he departed.
It dismayed her just a little to hear those words. "Normally, I don't care for Marines". It was a slightly depressing thought. Or at least, a sensitive girl like Hilda thought so. People should care about the Marines, shouldn't they? They were the ones working hard to protect people. That was the idea. All she had in mind was the safety of others, and she hoped the other Marines were the same. Nevertheless, she did not dwell on it. Turning, she wandered back down the streets, continuing with her patrol.
