SEA KINGS
[/size]Information
[/font]
Named for the ferocious monsters that rule the oceans, the Sea Kings as a pirate crew seek to embody traits that their inspiration exhibits. For centuries, humans have feared the Sea King species and have gone to incredible lengths to avoid dealing with them. Their breeding grounds are considered to be by many the most dangerous place to sail and have nearly complete dominance over the oceans.
Hoping to control the seas by inspiring an equal sense of terror in the hearts of the world, the Sea Kings strive to control naval trade and commerce in order to finance their dangerous lifestyle. Their captain, Satsuma Hotaru, is a well known player in the black market and a lover of artifacts, artwork, antiquities, and even pieces of information obscure enough to be valuable. Because of this, a chief goal of the Sea King pirates is the acquisition of as much ‘wealth’ as they can get a hold of, in whichever form it may take.
As pirates, the Wold Government has cast them out of society and would capture them on sight given the chance. As ‘thanks’ for this treatment, the Sea Kings are more than happy to inconvenience and undermine the Marines at any suitable opportunity.
Code

Below is the set of rules followed by the Sea Kings, as well as the punishment incurred for not complying.
- Members are required to follow the instructions of the Captain, or in her absence, the First Mate. Punishment for insubordination will be tailored to the situation, however, it is not taken lightly.
- There is a division of personal and communal property aboard the ship. Items deemed ‘personal’ are expected to be treated as such. Stealing from the ship or a fellow crew mate will result in the loss of all of the offender’s personal property which will be divided up where appropriate.
- Though sparring is encouraged between crew members to keep skills sharp, maliciously attacking a fellow Sea King and attempting to or succeeding in killing a Crew Member will result in execution.
Recruitment
[/blockquote][/li][/ul]
- Though strength is important, nothing is more valuable than a sharp mind and a cool head. Potential members must be able to hold their own in combat as well as be crafty and able to think on their feet. (OOC translation - Your writing ability and talent for combat are what you are judged on. Do not be intimidated if your character lacks infamy or attributes. Conversely, dont think that by having a technically powerful character guarantees you a spot.)
- Potential members are recruited by either the Captain or First Mate. To become a member, invited members must pass a test issued by the highest ranking officer available. The test may vary from person to person, however, common tests will include acquiring a rare item or exhibiting skills in combat. Potential members seeking to join the Sea King Pirates may petition the Captain or the First Mate for an invitation, however, they will go through an identical iniation ritual. (OOC translation - You may be invited to join by one of the officers either IC or OOC. Petitions can also be made either IC or OOC to an officer and we will set something up if we feel you are qualified.
- Characters who join must be Death Enabled.
- By joining, you agree to put the interest of the crew above your own. You agree to follow all laws, and to work with your crew mates without incident.
