MISSIONS A mission is basically a small task assigned to a person, that offers no real plot advance. Missions generally consist of doing chores, committing petty crimes, or fighting low life bandits. These serve no significant purpose, other than to gain some quick infamy or beri, the rewards being limited. Death is a very rare occurrence, but these do provide a decent challenge. Nothing is easy, unless you've got high levels that is. If you try to overplay your character, or make it too easy, then they might ask for more posts of you. MINIMUM POSTS: ten each MINIMUM PARTICIPANTS: one INFAMY: 10 (+5 for every PC player involved) BERI: 1,000,000 - 10,000,000 split
MINI-ARCS A mini-arc is a small plot, fulfilled by two or more people. Mini-Arcs may serve to recruit people into your crew, or complete bits of existing crew member's plots. If someone is a cyborg, you might have an encounter with the scientist that made him. You could also consider creating a continuing rivalry, or an encounter with your current one. Mini-arcs generally have small time antagonists, or people that are temporary to your characters plot. However, this doesn't mean you can't cross paths with a major character in your plot. They probably wouldn't die though, because ending a major plot with a mini-arc seems silly. These fulfill plot purposes, and as such give greater rewards. To qualify as a full/true mini-event, you've got to show how it relates to your character, and a decent amount of depth. MINIMUM POSTS: fifteen per person MINIMUM PARTICIPANTS: two + npc INFAMY: 45 (+5 for every additional PC participant) BERI: 10,000,000 - 30,000,000 split
STORY-ARCS A story arc is a big plot, fulfilled by five or more people. These arcs may serve to accomplish bigger factors to a persons plot. Something such as taking over a city, or fighting a vigorous battle with a rivaling pirate crew. This could also be something such as invading a marine base, searching for a long lost treasure, or breaking your crewmate out of impel down. A story-arc is used to fulfill specific character plots, and have greater antagonists. A powerful foe almost always find's its way into a Story-Arc. If you were a cyborg, you might finally slay the madman scientist that created you. If your parents were killed by a pirate crew, you could also avenge their death. These are used to fulfill big plot purposes, and give bigger rewards based on such. To qualify as a story-arc, you've got to prove that the idea relates to your plot and is considerably significant, we want to see a lot of depths with these. Story arcs can be split into multiple threads (ie. part 1, part 2, part 3), to pace your roleplaying, and differentiate between segments in the arc. MINIMUM POSTS: twenty per person MINIMUM PARTICPANTS: five + npc INFAMY: 80 (+10 for every additional participant) BERI: 31,000,000 - 100,000,000 split
SAGAS A saga is generally a large scale plot fulfilled by at least ten people. These generally affect a larger portion of the one piece world, and occur within whole islands, or even seas. Generally, Saga's are large scale battles between multiple factions, and occur within entire islands or seas. On some occasions it might be multiple pirate crews and marine fleets duking it out. Another scenario might provide that a native tribe is under attack, and are being assisted by an ally in fending off the attack. These battlefields are used to fulfill large scale plots between multiple parties, granting great rewards, they aim to have a lot of depth and plot twists. These are generally created by staff, however, if multiple groups feel excited by the idea, they can create their own saga's. It would be well worth it. In most cases, a saga would be divided into multiple threads, depending on the number of participants. When casualties and defeats begin to take place, and the number of people decreases, this might combine into one thread. MINIMUM POSTS: fifteen per person; in each thread they're in MINIMUM PARTICIPANTS: eight, from different factions. INFAMY: 180 (+20 for each additional person) BERI: 50,000,000 - 100,000,000 a person.
NPC'ING RULES Alrighty, a person is only allowed to NPC three threads, nothing more nothing less. After you have already finished NPC'ing a thread, you can NPC another, but the maximum is two. If you are caught NPC'ing more than two threads, you will not receive any reward and will not be allowed to NPC other's thread for a week. Also, if we see you are making things too easy for your friends or members, when the mission is like robbing a bank, fighting a rear-admiral, etc, you will be penalized for such actions. NPC will be rewarded with the infamy portion of the prize, however, they can be deducted points for showing poor quality and making it too easy. You cannot be in the thread you are npc'ing for if you are already in a mission/arc. Doing so can result in you rewards being revoked.
POSTING REQUIREMENTS You may place an inactive in character, in order to maintain timeliness. If someone goes inactive from your thread or the site, continue posting to meet the minimum posts each requirement, it will reflect on them rather than you. Each post must contain no less than 200 words in order to insure that people are trying, rather than giving short, half-ass posts. We will make sure you are meeting the 200 mark.
OPPOSING PARTIES MAY JOIN YOUR THREAD If, and only if, pm'ing staff for permission first. They will serve to try to stop you from achieving your goal, and can be established ahead of time. However, if you join an arc as an opposing party, you will only receive partial credit if falling shy of the fifteen post mark. Staff may also demand an opposing party, to take place in your mini-arc, story-arcs, or sagas. This will encourage roleplaying greatly.

MISSION/ARC TEMPLATEBelow is the template used to setup missions/arcs, you just simply copy and paste the following template in the BULLETIN BOARD'S PENDING BOARD, not in the sub-boards. You post up the needed content, the person(s) who are attending and/or NPC need to post in it as well, just to simply let us know they agree to it as well. A staff member will quickly review it and then you are good to go, you post the link in the same thread you posted the mission. After the mission is completed, just simply PM it with the words MISSION REVIEW and they will review the mission and post the rewards within the application thread for the mission. When done it will be moved to completed/incomplete.
