Weegee sat on the beach, his suit pants soaked through with the brine of the ocean, a wave washing up his legs as he remained motionless. A sea breeze blew through his hair, as he finally fell bacwards, his head laying on his hands as he sank into the sand. He was bored. There was no other way to say it. His katana lay on the sand next to him, still strapped to his side, and still sheathed.
"No body knows. The trouble I've seen. No body knows. These things."
He was idly singing to himself, preoccupied with the sky as the smog opened up momentarily to let him glimpse the stars. It was about midnight, the best time to catch the sea breeze here. Not many people around, but he had plenty of company. All three voices in his head were bickering.
