TERRITORY Haven't you noticed the flags above your head when you walk into town? Well the flag is flown with the current owner of the island or kingdom. Territories are island or kingdoms that are under the control or direction of a certain group, whether it be pirates, marines, bounty hunters or even a royal family. Some take territories as a display of power, others take them in order to defend the inhabitants of the island or kingdom.
HOW TO CAPTURE A TERRITORY? There are many different means of capturing a territory. Pirates can go to an island and claim it as their own, posting their jolly roger all over the island. They can either force the island inhabitants under their control or simply negotiate with them. The same goes for Marines and Bounty Hunters. Royalty do this slightly differently, royals gain controls over kingdoms through a form of government, which varies from royal to royal and kingdom to kingdom.
BENEFITS OF OWNING A TERRITORY There are many benefits to owning a territory. Aside from bragging rights territories provide many things for many different types of people. For pirates, it could be used as a show of power, as well as a place for asylum should they need it. Marines gain a new place to place their base of operations. Bounty Hunters can use it to organize themselves and find more bounties. Royalty gain their own set of followers and an army.

Royalty are elected to control a territory as their King or Queen. Once elected, the ruling royal will decide what type of government it is, tyranny, democracy, etc. Royalty are capable of allying their kingdom with either the marines, pirates, bounty hunters or to completely remain neutral, in which case they will defend their kingdom themselves. Currently you are only allowed to control one territory. And a territory may not be attacked for two weeks after being captured.[/ul] BONUSES OF OWNING A TERRITORYOwning a territory allows you to do many things. It allows you to determine who is actually allowed into your territory, though even if you restrict someone they can still break in or invade. CAPTURING A CLAIMED TERRITORYIt is possible to try and capture an already claimed territory. In which case you must post a [CAPTURE] thread in the desired territory. Once made, the owners of the territory be given two IIC days to start a defense. Whoever wins the battle will be the owners of said territory. [/size][/blockquote][/justify][/blockquote]
