Walking slowly down streets that where familiar to him, yet he felt like a complete stranger here. He was born on this island and lived there pretty much his entire life, all was good, that was until it happened. After the pirates and marines had sorted their petty affairs, they left the town to rebuild itself from scratch. So the streets and buildings that should have been oh so familiar to him where nothing but memories now. In their place new buildings had been erected, fences, houses, everything really. The only thing that was the same was the road itself, well even then there was tell of wear and tear where it had been fixed up after a stray cannonball.
Was there going to be anyone who recognised him? Probably not, after it happened, everyone he knew was either dead or moved far away, instead there where new people, making a new life in his old memories.
Today was a nostalgic day, so Tim-Tam was wearing a nice yellow ribbon around his top hat that reached down to his neck. In his left hand was Valerie, his cane, and in his right hand was his chin. Occasionally he would rub it in thoughts of memories gone by.
"My my, how time has changed the world, or perhaps it's changed me? Oh, you're right Emily, why worry about what has passed!"
With a small giggle he would turn on the spot, turn a whole 180 degrees before walking back in the same direction he came from.
"Why think when you can WALK in the past teehee."
Walking with a new sense of self, Tim-Tam would walk around, donig nothing in particular, that was until he came across yet another new place. The Punter's Pub, my my what a quaint little name, perhaps they would serve tea? With a happy smile on his face he would take a casual stroll over and inside the pub in question.

As weird as it might be, Tim-Tam was not able to enter the bar. Why? Because before he was able to enter, the door was forced open the wrong way which is outwards, sending the door one way, while the thing that caused the door to fly away, flew towards Tim-Tam. Fact was, Haruki was drunk. And he had commented on some guy in the bar, and before anyone knew it the guy had thrown Haruki out the door. Luckily for the guy, the bar had a strict no weapon policy.
Haruki stared at the door, not caring, or noticing Tim-Tam. Not noticing if he had hit something or not, or that if he was on top of someone or not. He got up on his feet, staggering back into the bar. He was really drunk. And wearing the sunglasses did not really help either. But he always used them to hide his eyes, so he was used to it. If Tim-Tam was outside he would not be able to see much, because of the change in light levels inside the bar would be pitch black. Which meant the next seconds he would be able to hear some punches before some guy was thrown out of the bar. It must have been the guy that threw Haruki. Inside, Haruki had gone back to drinking. He did not feel so good today. So he had chosen to get drunk.

Well, by the smell and looks of the place, which was drab, run down, done up again and allowed to run itself down, pungent and a bit garish, all around it seemed like a jolly nice place to have a drink. What better way to start off the day than to have a nice drink of door coming your way...oh, a door was actually coming his way. Well that wasn't very nice. Oh wait, stop thinking and react Tim-Tam, you don't want the taste of door in your face, it tastes alot like badly varnished wood that needs an oil change, and blood, don't forget the blood.
He didn't have enough time to unsheathe Valeria, so the best he could do was duck underneath it which then lead to a small surprise, the nice door was soon followed by a generous helping of thrown man on your head. Unfortunately for Tim-Tam, he really didn't have any time to react so the best he could do was make a small hugging action as the man fell towards him. This was in hopes that catching the man would soften the blow for the both of them. Was that the case? No, no it wasn't really. Instead he went flying off down the street with the man on top of him. Well this wasn't very nice, for goodness sake they had only just met! If he wanted some action he could have just asked...
"Well hello..."
Tim-Tam was cut short of his small speech as the man would just get up, as if he didn't even notice what had just happened. That simply was not cricket, it was infact just a little bit rude. So off Tim-Tam would go, inside the bar to find whomever it was that ever so charmingly smashed into him

Haruki turned his bar stool around. It was the type with a seat that could be turned around. From there, he stared at the other people in the bar. He then noticed a new guy in the door…or rather where the door had been. Where did the door go anyway? Oh right, it went flying when that guy threw him. He snickered to himself at this thought. How come everything was so much more funny after a couple of beers? Maybe because it was easier to see the funny in things.
He took a large sip from the glass with beer in his hands, while he kept looking at the new guy. Something about him bugged him. As if he had met him before….Oh wait, when he was thrown out, he hit something or someone…Maybe this new guy was the one he hit? He did not really notice hitting anything….But then again, when he got drunk he never paid attention to his surroundings. Other than those that were rude. Oh he wanted to smash their faces in so much. But after he did that last time, he had been banned from the pub for a few days. The dreadful feeling of not getting alcohol when he really needed it….he hated it. He took another sip from the glass as he turned back towards the counter.
OOC: yeah its bad

Well well well, well well well well well, well well well well well then. Wasn't it simply delightful in here? Oh yes, the drab grungy look really worked for this place and really made people feel like they where at home. In a prison, with nothing to do except drink and smoke, and pee yourself, yep he could definitely smell pee.
"My, how quaint."
His attention was on someone else however, the man who had previously been engaged with him, as in fell on top of him right after a door almost hit him. Oh yes he was rather interested in this person right now. Giving him a smile as he turned away from his gaze, he moved over to the bar, really sticking out in the current company like a sore thumb. He was going to the bar and order a drink, yes a drink did sound rather nice.
"Can I get some earl grey if you have it? Or some camomile? Perhaps sweet tea?"
Whilst waiting for the bar man's response, which is probably confusion, almost as if noone in their right minds would order this tea thing in his place, not with his current clientèle, Tim-Tam would simply smile at the gentleman. Manners where everything after all.

Haruki was looking into his half full glass of beer through his sunglasses when the new guy sat down near him. He took another sip, not really caring. That is, until the fellow asked for Tea. Really? Tea? Here? That was just….plain weird. With these surroundings, you would think that anyone would ask for some alcohol just to not attract attention. But then again, some people did not care about wether they were noticed or not.
But it was one thing Haruki noticed. This new guy, he seemed to look at him a lot. And that smile. It was a smile that seemed forced onto his face by manners, but it was still a smile. Haruki smiled back, lifting his glass slightly before taking a large sip of it. It was almost empty now.

After a while of trying to work out whatever it was that the strange man had asked for, the bar man placed a glass of beer infront of Tim-Tam. He had no tea, nor never had any need for it but to keep up appearances he served it with his pinky out, as if it would hold some standing at least. The glass was grubby, probably cleaned with spit at some point in it's life as well but none the less Tim-Tam would merely smile and place two bits on the bar, accepting the drink with nothing but a smile, after all manners are everything.
As the other man would smile at Tim-Tam, he wouldn't place his own drink to his lips, but merely sidle the drink over towards the gentleman instead.
"Drink? I am afraid I didn't quite catch your name when you where lying ontop of me back there."
His smiles weren't exactly forced, manners did mean smiles and all that but it was just generally Tim-Tam to be smiley and happy. Although in a place such as this he was finding it a little hard to keep up his usual ecstatic self. Perhaps it was the atmosphere and the fact what he had infront of him wasn't tea didn't really help. The bar man had tried in his own little was, and Tim-Tam would commend the man for doing so later, perhaps, if he remembered.

Haruki blinked as the guy sent the alcohol to him. Not that the fellow would be able to see because of his sunglasses. But still, he was a bit surprised. He emptied his glass as the guy spoke, and he put the glass down, pausing, thinking. He then opened his mouth as if he was going to say something, but it seemed like he changed his mind and closed it again, resuming thinking.
After a few seconds, he snapped his fingers. ”I thought i hit something when I was thrown. Assumed it was the door though. My name is Haruki Mithril. Sorry for the inconv…inco…inconvie….bad stuff.” Haruki said, grabbing the drink, taking a large sip of it. He seemed to be too drunk to say really long words. Or rather, he messed them up so he decided to choose another word.

Well well now, so the man did know how to speak did he? Even if it was only a bit slurred, well ok a bit more than slurred but Tim-Tam could make out the right words at least. Or the wrong words, it was whatever this guy was speaking in anycase. His name was Haruki? My what a strange man indeed, then again finding him in a place like this did say a few things about his character. Mainly the liking to get drunk in dark and sullen places. Yes, that was it.
"So, my dear Haruki, are you liking your drink?"
He would cup his head in his hands as he spoke, giving another smile towards this man. He seemed slightly interesting, well the most interesting person in this bar anyway so why not try and find out more about him?
~He smells bad...~
Oh my, Emily did have a way with words didn't she? Luckily for Tim-Tam she was whispering so only he would hear her. Then again even when she shouted noone seemed to be able to hear her, what a rude place this world was.

Haruki blinked again, looking at the guy. He then began rubbing his forehead. He seemed to have had enough to drink for the night, as he pushed the drink away. He then turned his head to stare at this weird person. He kept staring, before he shaked his head in disappointment. Here he had introduced himself and whatnot, and he had yet to introduce himself. He was really disappointed about that. And, because of the alcohol, he had to rethink what to say several times.
”I introduced myself. Now, it is your turn.” He said, pointing an accusing finger at him while he did so. Clearly, he did not like it when people did not introduce themselves after he introduced himself. That was just simply rude. ”Manners around here Is like Tea. Almost non existant….” He mumbled, trying to clear his head. He would leave when he got sober, and he was trying to become that fast.

Wait, what did the man say? As the man pushed his drink away, Tim-Tam did indeed realise that he had yet to introduce himself to this man. Honestly where where his manners?
~In the sink apparently~
Oh right, dearest Emily always knew what was on his mind, it was like she was a mind reader sometimes, she always knew what to say at times like these. Well it was high time he should introduce himself, but how to do it? A bow and a hug? A kiss and a slap? A dance and cry? Oh no no, his name would suffice this need indeed. He would merely extend his hand in a formal way whilst the introduction would take place.
"The name's Maurice the Extravogant, no idea why as my name is actually Tim-Tam but there you go!"
Now the manners where back in place, a small bell would ring in the back of his mind saying all was now well in the world. Either that or it was coming from somewhere in the bar or something. Well, they now knew each others names, what would happen now?

Haruki did a motion with his fingers as Tim-Tam spoke, mumbling something to the guy behind the bar. When Tim-Tam had introduced himself, Haruki had a glass of water in his hand. The best way to sober up was water after all. He nodded in approval of his name, closing his eyes. As he did so, he took off his sunglasses, and splashed the water out on his own face. He then shaked his head a little bit, as if it would help, and looked back on Tim-Tam.
”Ok Timmy. What do you do for a living?” Haruki said, wiping his face with his arms, obviously messing up Tim-Tam’s name on purpose.
Please bear with my sucky posts:3

Timmy boy? TIMMY BOY?!? Did that man seriously call him that? Why yes, yes he did and do you know what?!? Tim-Tam actually liked it. Noone had called him that before but yes, he saw that one sticking around for a while and he didn't mind it one bit, although the boy part could possibly be done without, after all how old was this chap? Ah well, details details. Now they where both introduced, a small thing had cropped up that he didn't really know how to deal with. His occupation. Well he did actually know how to deal with it but it seemed rather boring sometimes when others spoke about it, although the intrinsic details of his occupation brought no ends of joy to Tim-Tam himself. "Well my good sir, I am an archaeologist of sorts, more of a professor if you will but I like old things, and new things and just generally things hehe."Whilst he would talk, he would hold up his walking stick and motion it here and there, circling it a few times as if it was merely an extension of his own hand. "What about you my dear, dear Haruki-chan? What do you do, please bear all to little old me."Know thyself, know thy enemy, know thy friend and know everybody, that was one way Tim-Tam liked to live. *P.S Don't worry, I'm enjoying this *
