DEVIL FRUIT Devil Fruits are known for their disgusting taste, weird appearance, and their ability to give power. A Devil Fruit is claimed to be a fruit birthed by the Sea Devil himself, and their secret to their power is hidden within the Grand Line. There are multiple fruits, each one having their own unique power to give — to whomever dares to bite one. But even though the fruits allow one to become strong in a sense, they also take away one's ability to ever swim again. They are hammered by water, sea water, any still water to be more specific, but rain, does not weaken or "hammer" them.
There are many types of Devil Fruits; Logias, Zoans, and Paramecias. The rarest of the three are Logias, which allow one to turn into an element, while Zoans allow one to turn into an animal, and Paramecias can alter the body or one's environment. Each of the three classes are powerful, and something to be feared, because if wielded by someone with ill-intent, the power of the fruit can become destructive. But do not think all devil fruit are powerful, some are useless and can just cause more problems for people, so be careful if you decide to take a bite — of the devil-like fruit.
SIDE AFFECTS OF DEVIL FRUIT When one eats a Devil Fruit they are not able to swim, meaning if you land in water you will sink. Be careful members with this, if you don't want your character drowning easily don't eat the fruit and sell it if you want to. HOW TO OBTAIN A DEVIL FRUIT Devil Fruits can be obtained in two ways. The first way is that Devil Fruits can be given out randomly to members who have been consistently active and who have been developing their characters. Think of it as a gift. However, if this is the case, you will not know what the Devil Fruit is until you eat it. If you wish to know what it is, you can undergo a mission to where you can get a scientist or archaeologist or whoever to research and identify the fruit for you. You can also sell the fruit away to another PC if you wish. Tier I fruit will never be given out by this method.
Now, what if you want to go after a specific fruit? If this is the case, you will be allowed to pursue a certain Devil Fruit through a staff-moderated quest. Notice how the available Devil Fruits are divided into tiers. The tier a certain Devil Fruit is in depends on its strength, rarity and also determines the difficulty of the quest. There are certain restrictions in place for each of the three tiers.
In order to go after a Tier III fruit, you must have been active on the site for at least two weeks, have at least two attributes at level two and at least one level two technique.
In order to go after a Tier II fruit, you must have been active on the site for at least three weeks and have at least one attribute at level two, one attribute at level three and have at least two level two techniques.
In order to go after a Tier I fruit, you must have been active on the site for at least a month, have at least two attributes at level three and have at least two level three techniques. Also, the quest you undergo will be Death-Enabled and you have to find some way in order to travel past the Red Line.
Also, to prevent people from constantly questing for specific Devil Fruits, only three people at a time will be allowed to quest for a Devil Fruit of their choice. After a person completes their quest, their spot will free up and another person will then be able to take on a quest for the Devil Fruit of their choice. Registration comes on a first come, first serve basis. Also, you will only be allowed to quest for ONE Devil Fruit per character. This is so people don’t hoard all of the Devil Fruit to themselves. Also, activity during a Devil Fruit quest is required. If you become inactive, you will be dropped from your quest and your spot will open up for someone else to have their try.
