The man dubbed Brutal Baldy #1, was content with not attacking for some reason. Not only that, the fact that one man was missing did not go to waste on Lilith. He could have run away like some of the others at the beginning, but she would stay vigilant either way. It wasn't normal for him to wait until she had seen his face and could make an arrest later, just to run a few seconds after. On another notes, Hilda did well. She defeated the first aggressor with relative ease. On the ground, he revealed his true nature, more a sad sack of wasted anger than any real threat to a trained marine. He curled up into a ball and Lilith motioned for the others to take him away when they could. Her motions were interrupted when the giant guy charged ahead. He looked dangerous, but his motions revealed that, while strong, he didn't possess much speed or any real skill with the weapon that he wielded. Still, Lilith moved toward the two. She was glad she did, because Hilda dodged and attacked back. By the angles of her swords, she was going to kill the man. Tensing and darting forward, Liltih parried Hilda's strike while still leaving her in a position that could be defensed from while also spinning and kicking at the large man still holding his hammer. All in all, this all took less than five seconds, but Lilith only hoped that Hilda would forgive her. "Don't stain your hands with these men. They don't deserve it. And we can capture them alive."[/style][/style][style=float: left; margin-left: 20px; margin-top: 10px; height: 100px; width: 100px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/AkyMG.png); -webkit-border-radius: 50px; -moz-border-radius: 50px; border-radius: 0 0 0 50][/style][style=float: right; width: 150px; height: 100px; background-color: FFFFFF; opacity: 0.6; margin-right: 20px; margin-top: 10px; border-radius: 0 0 20 0][style=padding: 10px; opacity: 1.0; color: 000000; font-size: 9px; font-family: verdana; height: 130px; overflow: auto] music None. words Some. notes Don't let hilda break her killing cherry on these punks![/style][/style][/style][/td][/tr][/table][style=font-size: 8px]made by KING of PRE & OTE[/style][/center]

[style= width:400px; font-size:9px; letter-spacing:0px; line-height:10px; text-align:justify;]The giant, heavy man huffed and puffed, most of his energy drained from that one swing. When Lilith's kick connected with his face, he stumbled backwards, tripping over his fallen comrade.
Brutal Baldy # 1 spoke, "Ha! Showin' mercy is weakness in this world. You should've let the little girl kill him."
An ear splitting bird call pierced the air, making the brutal baldy grin.
"I think it's time to say checkmate."
Brutal thugs poured from almost all entrances, carrying weapons and ugly smiles. The way back to the docks was blocked by the thugs, along with all alleyways. The only paths not teeming with the brutal thugs were the path to the arena, and behind the brutal baldy and over the fruit cart. Several of the citizen home's windows were opened, and all that were watching from above gasped. Immediately, the thugs attacked Lilith's crew with their primitive weapons, taking a third of them into captivity. Although they weren't trained, the element of surprise was on their side, and that was all it took.
"Captain! Ensign!" A member of Lilith's crew shouted, blood trickling down his face. "We're outnumbered!" The man then went down, along with several of his comrades. The rest of the crew that was still standing inched towards their captain and Hilda, awaiting orders.
More and more thugs seemed to be pouring out of the entrances. The possible escape routes wouldn't be open for long.
Everything had happened so quickly that it seemed like a dream. What could possibly happen next?

Hilda was quite certain she'd had an opening. She was certain she was going to slice the guy's side open. So why didn't she? Why couldn't she? It wasn't a lack of focus or willpower, nor was it an overwhelming sense of mercy. No, it was a far more realistic reason - her Captain had stopped her attack with her blade, simultaneously knocking the hammer-wielding thug unconscious with a high kick. Hilda stared, perplexed for a moment. These guys were criminals. Bad guys. Wasn't it okay to use lethal force on these guys? She stared inquisitively as the Captain spoke up, all the while returning to a proper stance whilst holding her hook swords.
Capture them alive? The thought hadn't quite occurred to her yet. Still, she failed to see a reason to argue with the logic. Marines didn't always kill criminals - they captured them most of the time. Still, she understood holding back could lead to disaster. At least, that was how she felt. She'd never had problems before with using the maximum force necessary. Still, the Captain was her superior. They could take these guys and then drag them and their leader back to a holding cell. Maybe ship them off to Impel Down. That'd do, at any rate. All things considered, however, it seemed the leader wasn't at all intimidated by the loss of his men. That was when things began to get worse.
Now thugs were crawling out of the woodwork, taking the other Marines by surprise and overwhelming them with numbers. Men were knocked down and quickly they called out to Hilda and the Captain for some kind of help. Things were looking bad; even Hilda could see that. But she also saw a way out. A risky one, but it was still an option. "Captain Zenith, if we take this guy prisoner... Do you think the others would give up?" she wondered aloud. There were escape routes, perhaps only a few of them, but Hilda wanted nothing more than to beat this guy's face in. But for the moment she restrained herself, waiting on the Captain's decision. She hoped it was for the best.

All of those members save the one that disappeared earlier were gone. But it wasn't to stay that way for long. The leader was arrogant, that she knew well enough, so when the villians started to pour out of the wetwork, the young captain slipped her hand down her arm, opening her baby den den mushi and tapping it to call into the ship sitting quietly out at the harbor. They picked up in time to hear the ruckus as a few of her members were taken down and the rest screaming about being outnumbered. Inaudible to everyone but her due to the hum or the people around, the raven haired authority was able to hear a conformation of reinforcements being sent just before she yanked up her arm and took a stance befitting her style of swordsmanship. In this motion, she secretly re-closed her accessory and sent a concerned look at her subordinates. Hilda seemed to be concerned as well; of course who wouldn't be in this situation? But Lilith stayed calm despite her worry for the marine that was bleeding when he spoke before. "It appears I drug you into quite the situation Ensign... Those of you that can still fight, push your way to our wounded and surround them. Don't let these thugs take away any of our friends."Taking the initiative, Lilith organized them into a defensible pattern without her in the midst, and had them start to move. Then she took the lead and flipped her sword to the opposite side. When she drew her katana, the steel blade swept through the thugs with impressive power, using the back of the sword. Most of them probably wouldn't die from an attack of this scale, and Lilith intended their downed bodies to get in the way of the others until those reinforcements arrived. They would surely be docking any second, and from there it would only be a minute or two before an entire wall of marines would come surging through these skill less cowards. [style= width:400px; font-size:9px; letter-spacing:0px; line-height:10px; text-align:justify;]Being a cocky bastard, the Brutal Baldy believed his crew could take on the Marines Lilith just called. With a wave of his hand, everything went to hell. There seemed to be shrapnel flying everywhere, and dust was kicked up. The angry cries from both sides echoed through the island. The lazy bums who were still sleeping at this hour stirred slightly, disturbed from their hazy, alcohol induced dreams.
All of the thugs started attacking at the same moment, including the Brutal Baldy himself. Most of the thugs were aiming to take down Lilith's crew. The rest of them, who were still numerous, surrounded Lilith and Hilda.
Three thugs attacked Lilith, each with what seemed like a wooden mace, except for one. The Brutal Baldy rushed at Lilith with his wooden bat while the other two comrades came from the right and the left.
As for Hilda, most bypassed her, believing her not to be a threat except two. A boy that seemed to be around her age approached her with a mischievous grin. In his hand he held a dagger. Behind him was a rather tall and lanky man, holding a sharp, thin sword. Both attacked her at the same time, the larger man jabbing at her from the front, and the boy attempting to get behind her and stab her.
The back up Marines were almost there. Almost.
(Woah. A mission has to be about 10 posts each. Did this thread start before that was enacted?)

It seemed that the marine intelligence network wasn't exactly reliable as it was supposed to be. This mission was supposed to be easy. The thugs were supposed to be minimal and fighting wasn't going to happen. But look how that turned out... Thugs everywhere, wounded marines, and they were surrounded. The only ray of hope they had was her ability to combat these guys as well as the fact that a large group of marines were on their way. Lilith flipped her sword back to the bladed side. Drawing it from the opposite direction would slow her down, and the slender marine needed every ounce of speed she could muster if she was going to take on all of these men alone. Three of the men attacked Lilith, and two headed toward Hilda. The rest faced off against what remained of her crew who had circled with their backs together. They possessed enough skill, or at least Lilith thought so, to defend themselves until they could be rescued. Hilda might need some help though, and Lilith had her own trio to deal with. Her arm tensed quietly as her sword was drawn from its sheath, catching the air and emitting a powerful shockwave across at the three members charging her. It wasn't enough to deal serious damage, so she took her sword and dashed forward, performing another of her techniques thrusting attacks aimed for non-vital locations that would disable them instead of kill them. While she was doing this, she said the names under her breath... "Song of Winter... and Falling Snow"[/style][/style][style=float: left; margin-left: 20px; margin-top: 10px; height: 100px; width: 100px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/AkyMG.png); -webkit-border-radius: 50px; -moz-border-radius: 50px; border-radius: 0 0 0 50][/style][style=float: right; width: 150px; height: 100px; background-color: FFFFFF; opacity: 0.6; margin-right: 20px; margin-top: 10px; border-radius: 0 0 20 0][style=padding: 10px; opacity: 1.0; color: 000000; font-size: 9px; font-family: verdana; height: 130px; overflow: auto] notes Yea, which means I gotta get 6 more down... since it didn't start out as a mission T.T Also. The boss man laughed and sent another big guy at her. His muscles made him strong of course, but he was slow and couldn't maneuver with the flexibility required to be a true warrior. Her teacher's words rang in her ear. Power is important, but speed and maneuverability have won far more battles. She smiled and sheathed her sword quickly as he advanced, taking only a millisecond to glance at Hilda and make sure she was alright. Hilda was skilled enough as is, and had already disabled the two attacking her. Her heart relieved, Lilith looked up at the big man and pushed off with her left foot, disappearing from his vision due to his bulky muscles and directing a fast and powerful strike diagonal, across his torso. Again, not enough to kill, but his muscles, if hit, would be cut deep enough to be spurting blood and reduce his strength and ability to move by a huge margin. When she was visible again, Lilith was finishing sheathing her sword with a slightly audible clink. She grinned at the Brutal Baldy as she went to Hilda's side. "That one was called 'Wings of Silver.'" He would undoubtedly furious with her at this point, and Lilith could count the number of minutes until the marine backup arrived on one hand. Even this ambush had not been enough to keep the power in the hands of the corrupt, and no one had died... yet. The little marine shot a glance at the circle of defenders and hoped they were doing as well as the female duo. The bulky man had a cut that looked deep, but because of the layer of muscled torso there, her blade was unable to pierce deep enough to completely stop the man from moving. Quite the aggravating turn of events to say the least. And that just made brutal baldy all the more talkative. Her glare at him was as sharp as any blade as she motioned for Hilda to join the group of marines in the circle around the few wounded comrades. Brock... or big ugly cut guy, got up and continued an assault, trying to chase after Hilda. Lilith drew her sword quietly and shot forward at her maximum speed. Sliding around behind the man Lilith aimed for a known weak spot on any human body if they are trying to walk, the Achilles tendon. She quickly performed the attack from before, feeling her arm burn with exertion this time. She aimed for both tendons as she moved to avoid allowing him to get a lock onto his own target. If he decided to continue after Hilda, it would be a matter of seconds before he was ham-stringed and forced to his knees, but then again, with Lilith's superior mobility, he would probably end up that way anyhow, but it would cost her more stamina which she was running a little low on. As she finished her attack, Lilith jumped back to admire whatever her work had done. Hopefully her toil would bear fruit. Between breaths she could hear the roar of the marines bearing down the streets headed toward the arena. Just a little bit longer. This captain could manage that. Lilith was able to damage his tendons through a gratuitous amount of strikes which kept him from moving any more. It felt good to be able to disable a man like him without having to deal a fatal blow. The dark haired lady smiled lightly through the deep breathes she was taking. The chilled air burned her throat and lungs slightly, but in her home country it would be far worse. A little cold air would never be able to stop someone from Miqueot. Brutal Baldy was furious, as could be expected, but the next turn of events was not. It seemed that her success against the lugging ogre that was still trapped on his knees had intimidated the rest of the thugs who now were as scared of the frail looking captain as they were of retribution from that brutal baldy. Her heart finally started to slow down as that same villain decided it was time act on his own. Lilith took her sword and sheathed it again as he started coming at her with his bat. The woman didn't know what he planned to to against a trained opponent with a sword when he only had that thing in his hands, but she wouldn't let her guard down yet. Her body was sluggish and he almost connected with the first swing before Lilith could get her tired body to move how she wanted it. As it stood, she staggered back a little and dropped into her iai stance. Maybe she could finish it in one blow without killing him. He knew that her sword draw was dangerous. The next thing she really couldn't explain. All of a sudden she knew that he was going to throw the bat, even before he wound up. It wasn't like she knew everything about the attack, but she could see the bat flying in her head right before he coiled and slung it. This premonition gave her the time needed to coil her own body and duck, simultaneously preparing her own attack. When she sprung forward, it was obvious she had tapped her last resources of energy as she moves as fast as before, if not more for just a second. She sped past the man unsheathing her sword with as much power as she could muster and attempting to slash him in much the same way as Brock before him. The wound wouldn't be deep or life threatening, but with luck she could shut him down with pain or have him pass out from blood loss. As she skid to a stop behind him, she could hear the voices of the marines as they started to subdue the crowd. Plenty of them showed up. They had even surrounded the entire part of area that this was happening. If the thugs didn't scatter now, they would all be arrested and charged with assault on the marines and the world government. That would definitely scare them. The world government didn't forgive as easily as a random group of marines. And they were closing in fast. Brutal baldy was going into custody one way or another, but Lilith wanted him to stay down so he didn't have to die. And as it was, she was exhausted.
