The times are changing once again for OPRP, and if one hasn't noticed, activity is starting to slip progressively as time carries on. With the former staff team being forced to relieve their duties due to real-life issues, a new staff team will be upholding the foundation of OPRP and making damn sure that the hard work done for the site's return doesn't go in vain. However, even with new peeps being here to guide the members of the site, we can't detect every issue that is causing people to be turned off. Although we will be working hard to implement new, interesting ideas/systems and considering changing a few for the better, hearing from the members themselves would be incredibly helpful, and we would love to understand what you all personally feel is hindering the site! Please, if you have a concern with the site that you believe should be removed, added, or changed, reply here in this post with as much detail as you can to help us better understand. Regardless of what it is, no idea is a bad idea, so we appreciate any and all effort and will assure it is considered in the site's new revamp!
Thank you!

One of the biggest problems I've found on sites like these (Building characters stats, techs.. Gaining items..) is that it takes far too long to get the things you want. To get to the level we all want to reach, you'd have to rp for months.. Most people don't have that kind of time or patience. In my opinion, purchases should be either cheaper or we should be rewarded better. Having people reach shichibukai status in less then a month and yonko would motivate others to fight for those positions.
Annnd... I believe there should be wayyy more pirate crews out there with less members in each.. I'd say like 3 members per group. One Piece is about pirating, I don't believe 4 enormous groups give it justice..
Sites like these should be easy, not hard. And what's up with needing an NPC for a mini-event. Not many people are interested in NPCing an event so small. The events above that are okay imo.

I would like to see more but smaller crews. I feel that their are a lot more swordsmen out their than just four crews worth, same thing with the other positions. It is annoying when your character tries to start a random rp and it dies after three posts. I would be a lot more motivated if I had a crew to rp with, but whenever I try to join one (different characters) the crew is full or the position is taken.
I feel as though the missions are too much for too little. Some characters don't need money as they already have their weapon made, or they don't use any. Most characters need infamy to level up techs and attributes but I feel like 10 posts for 15 infamy is just not worth it.
Also, the west blue mini event is dead. Completely. Last post was like five or more days ago. What happened to the whole "24 hours and you're kicked" thing?

Increase the amount of crews, limiting the crew's seems dumb imo. Lemme make a crew ;D

take limit off crews, rework crew system, make attributes less expensive, have a way to actually obtain devil fruit/haki with appropriate effort - this whole "random handout" thing is getting old.

I think there should be an alternative method for gaining Devil Fruit. The current method where they are given in events and whatnot is great. That works, however, I think there should be a secondary method where people can purchase devil fruits, haki, etc, through having dedicated themselves to posting and whatnot. I'm not saying that they should be cheap, but this would make it so that people who do want devil fruits could know that if they aren't able to earn it through staff favor, that they still have a possible route.
Another thing for Devil Fruits. I note that a lot of people here make more than one character. What you could do is limit everyone to creating only one character who is captain, has a Devil Fruit or Haki. If they make a captain then, they cannot start off with a devil fruit or haki and have to earn the devil fruit or haki the standard way on all of their other characters. Or if they give a character a devil fruit, then they cannot have haki or captains on any of their characters without earning the abilities IC.
Aside from that, I'd have to agree with the more crews thing. If you guys allow more crews, it'll allow people to do things the way they want. If someone wants a large crew (bearing in mind that it's harder to interact with other members in large crews and group threads don't move quickly) then they can have it. If people want smaller groups for faster-paced and more personal crews, then they could have that.
I understand making a board for every crew could be tedious. But what you could do is have it so that crews with 10 people get their own board, while there is an additional board for all other (smaller) crews to share and make their recruitment/info thread (possibly crew list in their first post, and crew info in their second post). Anyone who wants to join their crew, or discuss the crew could post below.

i think the current devil fruit system seems alright, as long as there's a contest/handout every once in awhile, you don't want too many fruits running around all at once after all. the same goes for haki, though i feel like that should be a bit more common.
i will say though that this seems to be the most difficult board i've role played on in terms of how long it takes to 'level up' aka obtain a higher bounty/techniques/etc. it discourages people from posting because, let's be honest, we're all about that instant gratification. while i am willing to go on some missions and work, i'm a little intimidated by the current system.

I just wanted to point out that the territory system has a lot of potential if expanded upon.

I don't have much to add that hasn't already been said. Changing pacing so that there is a steady character progression as far as skills go, more crews, removing the NPC requirement from mini-arcs, increasing infamy gains (I know that there was a problem with this before, which is why prices were raised, but I think that's a flaw of both techniques and attributes relying on a four tier system. It's fine for techniques, but for attributes...)
The only suggestion that I can give as far as pacing goes is...perhaps using infamy to buy Douriki and simply use that to increase attributes (Or make Douriki a separate stat altogether) with no cap of how much douriki you can have in any given stat, but milestones (Like how attributes are leveled now) for certain levels of douriki. Or something. I don't know. I'M JUST A LITTLE KID. STOP LOOKING AT ME.

A lot of what I was going to say has already been said, but I'll throw my two cents in. The current Devil Fruit/Haki system is really good, in that it does encourage posting- you can't be given one if you don't have a thread, after all. However, there is a side effect- those people who are rapid posters, and are capable of putting out multiple posts per day, each day, have a much higher chance of gaining these abilities. While this is still not a bad thing, and while I don't think I can speak confidently for anyone else on the matter, personally I feel that these rapid posters often overshadow slower posters. More to the point, if a slow poster were to have a devil fruit or haki, they may well be inspired to post more often in order to quickly rank up said special powers. Aside from that, Site events are moving quite slowly- perhaps do small OOC competitions and threads for fun? Things like Forum Games are usually quite popular, and are always relaxing to post in if you haven't quite got the energy to muster a full post. They engender a quicker moving and more dynamic group- sometimes after a short post, your creative juices flow and you find yourself posting in other places as well.
A complaint I have heard several times is that the staff are too slow to get to Upgrades and item purchases. I have no idea if this is true or if the people complaining are just very impatient, but I bring it up because I KNOW that profile grading goes along at a swift pace, and perhaps these other boards are not recieving as much attention because of it.
Aside from all of that, if members were to talk more often on other sites they are a member of, getting new blood in is always a fun experience- you'd be amazed at the effect a good word from someone you trust has on the willingness to RP on another site.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance in pointing out to fix things, but hopefully I've raised at least one pertinent thought.

Honestly, if you just doubled the amount of attribute tiers and halved the prices, you'd have people spending the same amount of infamy for the same IC gains. People would feel like they were actually progressing more often, since they are, just in smaller bursts. That is, if you didn't want to lower the costs across the board.

I agree with Bastion and all of the opinions on Devil Fruits. Doubling the amount of attributes and halving the price is a great idea, as are purchasable devil fruits for large amounts of infamy, AND making it one infamy per post instead of one every two post. This would promote activity while keeping the sense of achievement the staff wish to keep.

I'd like to state two things to the last two posters. They tried the 1 imfamy per post, and found that it defeated the purpose of making the missions the way they did. It was because people were SPAMMING missions to level up way too quickly. For example, in the first week or so, multiple people already had multiple level 3 stats. So they made the increased prices. But then people still spammed missions so they made the missions the way they are now. All that is honestly needed to make this better, is to lower the level up/upgrade costs, because all that they originally needed to stop the spamming was the limit/changes to said missions/arcs to reduce spamming and putting a minimum cap on posts so it wasn't a 1-2 page mission that someone could do in a day or two.
Additionally, I honestly believe that Only Shibichukai, Yonko, cp9 and stuff like that should be entitled to stat gains over the normal 9, otherwise will we be having sanji and zoro level yonko. Also, that any titles like that should be "DE" otherwise no hands will change when position is gained.
However, I do agree that normal rp/plot rp needs to give a little more because I can't seem to get ANYONE to do bigger missions with me as of right now no matter how hard I try, to get my chars rolling, and I am losing my steam fast.

I agree, but people being to rp the OP characters they want would also help raise their muse, which is why i was proposing the idea of a DF for one character, or the ability to purchase them. After all, if they are purchasable, the person knows that there is a chance they can get one if they want one and they don't have to worry about rping here for years and still not possibly being able to have one because they haven't had incredible luck or staff members either don't notice them or like them.
