[marker=first]STARTING OUT - Before anything else, please be reminded that we are a non-canon site. Meaning, characters and events that occurred during the anime will not be present, nor referred to, nor may even exist here. The plot thread will be where board-wide updates are posted, so make sure you read it up carefully so you know where the board is generally heading.
- Just as every other forum, we have our own rules. The Rulebook is a code that we expect every member to follow, and do know that the breaking of these rules can harbor dire consequences.
- Also do note that we have an announcement board, where we will announce major changes and plans for the forum, so remember to drop by when a new post comes up in the board.
- Now that you have been educated on the foundations of how this board is run, we shall proceed on the creation of your character. Of course, before anything else, you'll have to decide whether your character becomes a pirate, a marine, a bounty hunter or a civilian.
- Once you have come upon a decision, this is where you go to create your character's biography. This is the template that you can refer to, in order to know what to do, and how to do it. Do remember to read the ban list, so you know what you are not allowed to do.
- Now, for the biography. You notice that they ask for your character's race. This shows the race that are made available to the members. Role can be seen in the threads regarding each occupation. Do note that DE means Death Enabled, and DD means Death Disabled.
- The guidelines for attributes can be found here. For techniques, please read the information provided in the character template example. Though, feel free to post up the skill of your profession up in the techniques.
- Once you are done, whether you have posted in WIP or PENDING, post here so that staff will know that they can grade your biography.
- If at the end of this guide, you still have questions, or suggestions, feel free to post them here.

[marker=second]POST-APPROVAL - Now, you have been approved! Congratulations. Now, depending on what character group you made your character out to be, you may be asked to make a bounty. You can make these here. The following instructions are for pirates / criminals only.
- First, read up on this thread. As you can see, all pirates start with a 1 mil berri bounty. Either copy and paste the provided code at the bottom into a new thread, with your character's name as the title, or quote this post for the code.
- If you are a Marine, this is where you have to go. Read this thread to know what the black market bounty is about, and then either copy the code, or quote the example provided. Remember to use your character's name, in capital letters, as the title.
- You now have a bounty. What is next is the techniques. As you know, everyone is allowed to start with three level 1 techniques for free. This is where you purchase the techniques, using the layout provided here. Use the technique guidelines to aid you. Once you are done, post here to inform us that you are ready for grading.
- For more information on infamy, please refer to this thread.
- With most of the technicalities done, it's now time to organise yourself. We have threads for people to look for plots if they want to, for both males and females. If you want to keep a thread tracker, you can post it up here. Or if you're the type to have a journal for your character, this is where you go.

[marker=third]CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT - Just like everyone else, we all want our characters to be strong, to develop, to grow. Well, there are of course plenty of ways to do that, but let us start from the bottom. As an individual looking to sail and see the world, and achieve your own dreams, you should know it will be difficult for you. So, you will need a group. A Pirate will need crews, a Marine will need to be in a fleet, and a Bounty Hunter, or a Civilian, may have better chances of succeeding with a group.
- Each group has their own sub-board, so feel free to read up on the different groups that we have, or if you are ambitious enough, you can try to create your own group. Of course, this is a very demanding job to take, and we expect great things from those who choose to take the spot.
- Next, you want to be doing missions. But first, what are missions? Well, this thread will explain it all to you. Read it up, copy the code and then post your mission here. Of course, it is recommended that you find some partners to work with first.
- These missions will earn you infamy, for techniques and attributes, which has been covered, bounty if applicable, which has been covered as well, and of course, berri. Berri can be used in the shop.
- For more information, please read this thread. And then, look at the list of items we have for sale. If you do seek to use your berris, copy the coding provided in the shop information, and post your transaction here, and the staff will get to it.
- Of course, we are a One Piece board, and we have Devil Fruits and Haki. The information on Devil Fruits can be found here, while the information on Haki can be found here.
- As for goals, we do have certain positions that certified people can take. For Marines, they can choose to be part of the CP9. For pirates, they can choose to be either a Shichibukai and hunt the very people they once were, or become a Yonko, and rule a part of the seas.

[marker=fourth]CHARACTER ACTIONS - Now, you ask, what else can your characters do? Well, let's do things one by one here.
- Firstly, to travel from Blue to Blue, and beyond, you will need to travel. Read the thread carefully, and educate yourself on how the travel system works. Note that when you have finished a travel thread, you have to post here, so that a staff can validate your travel thread.
- Pirate crews can step it up a bit, and try to take over a territory. Of course, one territory is considered as one sub-board in the blues. This thread contains all the necessary information one needs to know about capturing territories. Once you seek to capture a territory, PM an admin with the link to the thread.
- Oh, you already won a fight? Well, before you do anything else, know that you can actually loot your opponents. This thread covers everything one needs to know about looting.
- Of course, Marines and Bounty Hunters have things to do as well. See those bounties? Go capture those pirates, and when you have succeeded in handling them, leaving them dead or alive, this is the place you have to go. Read the information thread and know how the system works, and then turn the person in here.
- If you have completed threads, or other threads that you would want removed, be it travel or mission threads, we have a thread where you can ask staff to help you archive them. This is also the place you go to if you want to unarchive a thread, though you will have to find and provide the link.
